Fay Alexander, Author of One Candle’s Light, passes away at 98.
The Family of Mrs. Fay Alexander regrets to announce the passing of their beloved mother and aunt, author of One Candle’s Light – The Thanksgiving Story you never knew. She passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025 with family members present.
The Family is grateful for 98 years of a blessed life, a long and happy marriage and the Lord’s redemption in her life for all those dark and unseemly things this fallen world affords.

Fay had the wonderful opportunity to travel around the state of Florida speaking at various Mayflower Descendents meetings where she was typically received with gracious hospitality and open ears to the story of how she wrote and researched her book, One Candle’s Light.
Her last presentation was made (at the age of 94) in Ocala, Florida, for the 84th Meeting of the Society of Mayflower Descendents in the State of Florida, on Nov. 19. 2021 hosted by the William Mullins Colony in Ocala. The Mayor of Ocala declared that date “Mayflower Compact Day.”
This website will continue to promote her book (350+ copies of her book still in stock) for the benefit of those still searching the story of the Mayflower Pilgrims. We will also start the blog again on her behalf.
